RECIPE / RESEP
INGREDIENTS – Bully Beef Roll
- 1 puff pastry roll,
- Marmite,
- 1 egg, beaten,
- 1 can Bully Beef / corned meat,
- 1 onion, finely chopped,
- 250ml cheddar cheese, grated,
- 30ml chutney
METHOD
Mix the onion, bully beef, chutney and cheese. Roll the puff pastry open (roll it slightly bigger with a rolling pin). Take the back of a teaspoon and spread some Marmite evenly over the puff pastry. Spoon the mixed ingredients on the pastry and spread it evenly. Roll up the pastry and place it in the Large Oval Roaster. Cut incisions on the dough but do not cut through the roll. Brush the beaten egg over the meat roll. Put in a cold oven. Switch on to 160ºC and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
INGREDIENTS – Stuffed Avo
- half of a fresh Avo per person,
- finely chopped onion,
- garlic,
- Chilli,
- tomato,
- fresh coriander,
- cream cheese (optional),
- cheddar cheese,
- salt and pepper,
- lemon or lime
METHOD
Scoop the avocado out of the skin and cut it into chunks. Add some or all of the following: finely chopped onion, garlic, Chilli, tomato, fresh coriander (optional). Add coarse salt & pepper and a little lemon/lime juice to the avos. Mix in a little bit of cream cheese (optional). Scoop the mixture back into the skin. Sprinkle generously with cheddar cheese. Arrange the avocado halves in any suitable Argilla Roaster and bake at 160ºC until the cheese is melted. Serve as a delicious and filling side dish.
HINT: You can replace the bully beef with mince and the avocado with green pepper.
BESTANDDELE – Boeliebief Rol
- 1 skilferkorsdeegrol,
- Marmite,
- 1 eier, geklits,
- 1 blikkie Bully Beef / mielievleis,
- 1 ui, fyn gekap,
- 250 ml cheddarkaas, gerasper,
- 30 ml blatjang.
BESTANDDELE – Gevulde Avo
- helfte van ‘n vars avo per persoon,
- fyngekapte ui,
- knoffel,
- rissie,
- tamatie,
- vars koljander,
- roomkaas (opsioneel),
- cheddarkaas,
- sout en peper,
- suurlemoen of lemmetjie.
Meng ‘n bietjie roomkaas by (opsioneel).
