RECIPE / RESEP
INGREDIENTS
- 135 ml (9 level tbsp) self-raising flour
- pinch of salt
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) milk
- 15 ml soft butter
- 5 ml cinnamon
- 15 ml sugar
For the glaze – Mix:
- 60 ml icing sugar
- 15 ml milk/cream
METHOD
Generously butter an Argilla Square Mug. You can also use non-stick spray, but we prefer butter. Mix the self-raising flour, salt and milk. The dough should be flexible, but not too sticky or dry. Add a drop or two of milk if the dough is too dry. Turn the dough out on a lightly floured surface. Knead a couple of times. Roll out in a long strip of about 10cm wide.
Spread the butter generously over the dough. Sprinkle with the cinnamon and sugar. Roll up and place in the prepared Square Mug. Microwave for 45-60 seconds or until set. Transfer to a plate and glaze or just add more melted butter, sugar and cinnamon.
> You can use 135 ml flour and 3.75 ml baking powder if you don’t have self-raising flour on hand.
> Make smaller rolls by using the Soufflé Dishes and eat them directly form the dish.
> For a stylish setting use the Small Round Plates, the beautiful Small Oval Blates or the Small Serving Plates – also available in Christian Crockery Afrikaans or English.
BESTANDDELE
- 135 ml (9 gelyke eetlepels) bruismeel
- knippie sout
- 60 ml (4 e) melk
- 15 ml sagte botter
- 5 ml pypkaneel
- 15 ml suiker
Vir die glasering – Meng:
- 60 ml versiersuiker
- 15 ml melk/room
