RECIPE / RESEP
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup rice,
- 3 cups water,
- 5ml salt,
- 200g bacon, pieces (optional),
- 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
OVEN: Using the Medium Oval Roaster, fry the bacon and onion in a little oil in the microwave for 7 minutes (skip this step if you want plain rice). Add the rice, water and salt and stir. Put in a cold oven, usually with your other food in their roasters, turn on to 160°C and bake for 60 minutes.
MICROWAVE: Follow the same steps but cook the rice in your microwave for 20-25 minutes on High.
BESTANDDELE
- 1 koppie rys,
- 3 koppies water,
- 5ml sout,
- 200g spek, in stukies gesny (opsioneel),
- 1 klein ui, fyn gekap (opsioneel)
OOND: Gebruik die Medium Oval Roaster en braai die spek en uie in ‘n bietjie olie vir 7 minute in die mikrogolfoond (slaan hierdie stap oor as jy net gewone rys wil maak). Voeg nou die rys, water en sout by en roer deur. Sit in ‘n koue oond, gewoonlik saam met die ander kos wat in hulle bakke is, stel die temperatuur na 160°C en bak vir 60 minute.
MIKROGOLF: Volg dieselfde stappe maar kook die rys in die mikrogolfoond vir 20-25 minute op Hoog.
