INGREDIENTS
You can use any mixed, processed or fresh vegetables available in season, roughly chopped. Eg:
- pumpkin or butternut squash, diced,
- baby carrots, sliced,
- butternut squash, diced,
- small potatoes, whole or larger potatoes that have been diced,
- onions, quartered/sliced,
- sweet potatoes, cut into blocks,
- green, red and yellow peppers,
- oil preferably olive oil,
- fresh or dried herbs,
- salt and pepper or any other seasonings to taste
Place the raw, roughly processed vegetables in the Argilla Large Oval Roaster bowl. Sprinkle with oil. Add your herbs. Season with salt and pepper or other seasoning. Stir gently. Put the lid on and bake in the oven at 160⁰C for 30 – 45 minutes.
Stir halfway through the baking time and remove the lid. The vegetables should be cooked, but not mushy. You don’t need to use specific vegetables, just use what you have.
TIP: For variety, the vegetables can be sprinkled with brown onion soup powder before baking.

Jy kan enige gemengde, verwerkte of vars groente gebruik wat beskikbaar is in die seisoen, grofgekap. Bv:
- pampoen of botterskorsies, in blokkies gesny,
- baba wortels, gesny,
- murgpampoentjies, in blokkies gesny,
- klein aartappels, heel of groter aartappels wat gesny is,
- uie, in kwarte/skywe gesny,
- patats, in blokke gesny,
- groen-, rooi- en geelsoetrissies (peppers),
- olie – verkieslik olyfolie,
- vars of gedroogde kruie,
- sout en peper of enige ander geurmiddels na smaak.
Plaas die rou, grof verwerkte groente in die Argilla Large Oval Roaster bak. Besprinkel met olie. Strooi jou kruie oor. Geur met sout en peper of ander geurmiddels. Roer liggies deur. Sit die deksel op en bak in die oond teen 160⁰C vir 30 – 45 minute.
Roer halfpad deur die baktyd en haal dan die deksel af. Die groente moet gaar, maar nie pap, wees nie. Dit is nie nodig dat jy spesifieke groentes hoef te gebruik nie, gebruik net wat jy het.
WENK: Vir afwisseling kan die groente met bruinuiesoppoeier gesprinkel word voor dit gebak word.

Remember – You can place all the roasters and other products together in one oven and then just remove them, one by one once they’re done. Stack the roasters on top of each other to save space. Your Argilla products will keep your food warm while you wait for everything to get cooked.
