RECIPE / RESEP
INGREDIENTS – Filling
- 1000 ml of milk
- 45 ml cornstarch
- 45 ml of flour
- 30 ml of butter
- 2 eggs, separated
- 250ml sugar
- 10 ml of vanilla essence
- fine cinnamon for sprinkling on top
INGREDIENTS – Crust
Mix 1 packet of Tennis biscuits, crushed with 100 – 125ml of melted butter to line the bottom and sides of the Argilla Round Pie Dish.
Tip: Never press your crumbs too tightly – otherwise they will become very hard and difficult to cut.
METHOD
Put the cornstarch and flour in the Medium Gourmet Roaster. Add a little milk and mix until a smooth paste forms. Add the rest of the milk and all the other ingredients except egg white. Microwave for 12 – 15 minutes on High – stir every minute for the first few minutes, to avoid lumps. Cook until the mixture thickens. Beat the egg white to stiff peaks, (not until dry) with an electric mixer. Fold in the batter. Pour into the prepared Round Pie Dish, sprinkle cinnamon on top and chill in the fridge.

- 1000 ml melk
- 45 ml maizena
- 45 ml meel
- 30 ml botter
- 2 eiers, geskei
- 250 ml suiker
- 10 ml vanieljegeursel
- fyn kaneel vir bo-oor sprinkel
BESTANDDELE – Kors
Meng 1 pakkie Tennisbeskuitjies, fyngedruk met 100 – 125 ml gesmelte botter om die bodem en die kante van die Argilla Round Pie Dish uit te voer.
Wenk: Moet nooit jou krummels te styf vas druk nie – anders raak dit baie hard en sny moeilik.
METHOD
Sit die Maizena en meel in die Medium Gourmet Roaster. Voeg ‘n bietjie melk by en meng tot ‘n gladde pasta vorm. Voeg die res van die melk en al die ander bestanddele behalwe eierwit by. Mikrogolf vir 12 – 15 minute op Hoog – roer elke minuut vir die eerste paar minute, om klonte te verhoed. Kook totdat die mengsel verdik. Klits die eierwit tot stywe punte, (nie tot droog nie) met ‘n elektriese menger. Vou by die beslag in. Gooi in die voorbereide Round Pie Dish, en sprinkel kaneel bo-oor en verkoel in die yskas.
